Competitive Chess
As a member of Abergavenny Chess Club and the Welsh Chess Union, you can play in matches against other clubs and take part in the many weekend tournaments in Wales and beyond.

Chess is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages and genders. We have members ranging in age from 8 to over 80!
Club Information
We are one of the largest clubs in Gwent, currently running four teams in the Gwent 4-Board League. We also compete in the Welsh Chess Premier League and the Marches League.
The Club meets every Wednesday from 7:00 PM until around 10:30 PM at the Hen & Chickens in Abergavenny.
